State-by-State ESA Funding & Submission Guide | MaiMai

Official program links and careful guidance for ESA families in Arizona, Florida, West Virginia, Utah, Iowa, Arkansas, North Carolina, and Indiana.

Offering status

ESA Explorer $449, ESA Family $799, ESA Curriculum $1,299 annually. All three bundles are Planned; checkout is unavailable. ESA subscriptions are being prepared and checkout is not available. Existing non-ESA family learning stays 100% free. Confirm eligible expenses with your program administrator before purchasing; reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Arizona: Empowerment Scholarship Account

Arizona’s official ESA page describes funding for multiple education expenses, including curricula, tutoring, educational supplies, and private-school tuition, with education at home among the options. This range is not confirmation that any specific software subscription is accepted. Student eligibility, valid educational purpose, cost, and current purchasing rules still matter.

Florida: Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA)

FES-UA is a flexible scholarship for students who meet its qualifying requirements, including a qualifying diagnosis. Step Up For Students describes home-education expenses, instructional materials, curriculum, therapies, and other permitted uses. It is not a general account available to every Florida homeschool family. Florida has other programs with different enrollment and expense rules.

West Virginia: Hope Scholarship

The official Hope Scholarship site describes support for tuition, homeschool curriculum, and other qualifying educational expenses for eligible K–12 students. Eligibility and participation duties are separate from permission to buy a particular resource. A homeschool family should check the current rules for its student rather than assume past eligibility rules or application details still apply.

Utah: Utah Fits All Scholarship

The Utah State Board of Education describes Utah Fits All as an education savings account program and directs families to Odyssey for current administration, eligibility, provider, funding, and handbook information. The state page explains that the administrator has changed. Use its current referral instead of outdated instructions naming the prior program manager.

Iowa: Students First Education Savings Accounts

Students First is an ESA with accredited nonpublic-school enrollment and tuition-payment requirements. It should not be described as unrestricted funding for a standalone homeschool software subscription. The official program information connects retained funding to attendance and tuition and fee payment. A family’s home learning activity does not by itself establish eligibility for this school-linked program.

Arkansas: Education Freedom Accounts (EFA)

Arkansas describes EFA funding for permitted educational expenses including private-school tuition, homeschool curriculum, tutoring, and educational therapies. The official page emphasizes participation for each student and provides family handbook, support, and provider resources. Broad curriculum language is not a determination that MaiMai’s proposed service or household structure is permitted.

North Carolina: Education Student Accounts (ESA+), distinct from Opportunity Scholarship

ESA+ serves eligible students with disabilities and allows certain non-tuition educational expenses alongside multiple enrollment options, including home school. The separate Opportunity Scholarship supports private-school tuition and required fees. A family should not treat an Opportunity Scholarship award as a general cultural-software budget or confuse its rules with ESA+.

Indiana: Indiana Education Scholarship Account

Indiana’s official information describes a program for students with disabilities and eligible siblings, with payments to providers through the program system. Its Treasurer page announces the transfer of administration to the Department of Education. Follow the current department guidance for your school year rather than relying on an older contact or set of instructions.
